“I travel a lot so it’s hard for me to workout on a regular basis. Peter showed me a creative program that I can do in my hotel room. Four years later I’m still motivated, I feel better and people have really noticed.”
“I’ve been working with STRIDE for over three years. They’ve helped me achieve my goals. I’m feeling less stressed; I’ve got way less joint pain and I’ve lost 50 lbs to boot. I’m even playing tennis again. Thanks Dan.”
“Since signing on with STRIDE over 5 years ago, I have gained strength by continually re-evaluating my goals. I've successfully completed several 10km runs and this year I'm planning on doing a half marathon- not bad for a 67 year old!”
“My name is Diane and I’ve been working with Dan / Stride for approx 9 months now. I’m happy that so far I am 41 lbs lighter and 12 + fewer inches overall. I am 44 years of age. I’ve always been a person with the struggle of having to control or be mindful of my weight.
As a little girl I wasn’t really guided to eat that properly…so chips, pop, cheesies, pizza, cookies, pastries all the good stuff were not a faux pas. So in my 20’s I decided good exercise would become a part of my life and so it did. I’m happy to say that exercise is a wonderful attribute to my well being.
So with the food part of my life, I still couldn’t recognize what it was that would trigger me to continue to have poor eating habits. I always knew being a sensitive person and having stress in my life and not always knowing how to handle it that I would succumb to a continual cycle of eating the wrong foods thus feeling not in control of my weight thus not looking the way that I always (we always, women more so) want to look and feel.
So approx 9 months ago I approached Dan (stride) about his meal plan and how it would fit into my life and what changes I would go thru and I met with him and the plan turned out to be very simple, very easy, I just needed to be a bit organized and could start immediately.
I continued on this path and am continuing all the while learning WHY I was doing what I was doing and what was causing it and how to incorporate my changing those old eating habits.
I’m happy to say that after 44 years I feel confident I have conquered the wanting of bad foods for the wrong reasons.
I used to feel heavy; I never was able to cross my legs or bend over without feeling a paunch (lump). It used to frustrate me and what I think happens for a lot of people they give up and continue to accept how they are and just keep it at that point. I feel wonderful…I remember telling Dan how I could sit on my bed and lean over to paint my toenails, where as before it really was a concerted effort.
I have a whole lot of energy. I feel good in my clothes. I still have stress in my life as I did before but I feel I handle it way differently. I am definitely making better choices.
I also really believe that if one is to want to reach and fulfill their dream. Which has been mine for a very long time, to reach my goal weight and keep it there to endure a healthier longer lasting life, that you have to have support, whether it’s from friends, or family.
I have support from them but it really comes from within but having done so many programs, weight watches, diet weigh, you name it ..the real push to my weight loss is having someone there to guide you and push you to where you’ve not been before.
I owe that all to Dan (Stride), he was such a great resource, always readily available. Always positive, always energetic and willing to commit to my commitment. That’s what empowered me at the times I needed the most. I think for most people once they may have a lull in something whether it is work stress, family stress, or personal stress, they tend to naturally sway from their goals.
Stride has been a terrific help in my achievements and if you are one who feels like I did. You should take this challenge and seize what could be the greatest step in your life.
Honestly, Dan, I can’t thank you enough for your consistency in helping me with all of my issues..lol. I’ve come so far in that regard. I feel really great and I hope to continue on this path till I reach my goal.
A big thank you again for all your support and honesty thru and thru.
Diane…soon to be looking like…I don’t know, Courtney Cox..lol Nahhh..I just want to look like moi.”
